Her Kickapoo name, \"Pahponee,\" translates as “Snow Woman.” She is a self-taught clay artist who fuses the traditional pottery methods of her woodland culture with contemporary techniques. Pahponee spent years experimenting with hand-dug clay and commercial clay as well as primitive outdoor dung firing and contemporary kiln firing. Her experimentation and research resulted in technical excellence in clay properties, tools, hand building, and firing techniques.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePahponee’s style is elegant and graceful, and her one-of-a-kind pottery is inspired by her dreams and personal life experiences.
